The science

method.
Nile Red staining plus microscopy confirmation detects and counts candidate plastic particles, through a CLIA-certified partner lab.
The wider PlasticTox platform was used in a peer-reviewed 29-person Mayo Clinic pilot involving peripheral blood. That study did not validate this saliva product as a medical diagnostic.

If plastic is everywhere, why test?
Exposure varies with diet, water, packaging, and environment. A baseline lets you change something and compare later.
What does the test measure?
Candidate microplastic particles in saliva, using staining and microscopy analysis. It does not test for phthalates, BPA, or PFAS.
Is this a medical diagnosis?
No. PlasticTox is for personal exposure awareness and education. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
How long do results take?
Collection takes about two minutes. Lab results are ready within 72 hours after your sample is received and accepted. Delivery and return transit are separate.
Can I lower my score?
Your report flags practical exposure categories. Re-testing lets you compare after you change your routines.
What if my kit arrives damaged?
Report a damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect kit through the customer portal within seven days of delivery. Samples that can't be processed are reviewed for a remedy under the return and refund policy.
